Peru

Peru is a rapidly modernizing country with geographical extremes and a vibrant cultural mix. From Lima’s well preserved colonial architecture, to the irrigated coastal valleys, to Cusco and Machu Picchu of the high Andes, and to the upper Amazon, Peru offers tremendous possibilities to visitors. Cusco, Machu Picchu, and the surrounding high mountain villages offer unique opportunities to understand the Incas, visit with weavers, shepherds, Alpaca breeders and gaze at the spectacular scenery.

Along the coast are agricultural centers with giant asparagus farms next to small growers of cotton, avocados and pisco grapes. Traditional cultures are maintained via cuisine, music and dances.
